Dear Women,
the 1st & 2nd of February we celebrate the return of the Light. During this pagan holiday based on a Celtic tradition, Imbolc marked the halfway point between winter solstice and the spring equinox. We also honour the feminine energy of Brigid, divine goddess of the homes and the fires, who brings the light back after the darker winter days.
Moreover we also celebrate Yemaya, the (Orisha) mother goddess of the Oceans, Seas and salty waters. In Salvador de Bahía 1000-ands of people used to gather on the beach, offering and holding rituals and ceremonies honouring her.
It is, in other words, a very powerful feminine day, that from ancient times was celebrated with a ritual and a feast.
This Rite of the Womb connects us with a lineage of women that live life in beauty, power and integrity. It is an ancient and beautiful Amazone ritual that heals women. This rite honours and recognizes the primal mother and the goddess in each woman and brings all the elements in ourselves in balance.
The female spirit of the Amazone jungle remembers us of a simple and essential truth:
The womb is not a space to contain fear and pain, it is not a space of suffering. The womb is a place of Creation, Joy, Birth, Life.
This female lineage brought us a gift from the jungle through the 13th rite of the Munay Ki (ancient initiations from Peru), being transmitted to every women. When you receive the initiation, you can share it with other women.
