Temazcal & Ceremony Winter Solstice & Full Moon
December 18 @ 9:00 am - December 19 @ 5:00 pm
With the Winter Solstice, we celebrate the return of sun. On the day of the winter solstice, the sun travels its shortest path through the sky, it marks the end of fall and beginning of winter, but also the rebirth of the sun.
From the 21th onwards, the days slowly begin to lengthen again and the nights to shorten.
We choose the weekend to celebrate winter solstice because in the night of Saturday to Sunday, it is the 13th and last full moon of the year. We also call it the Tree Full Moon because we are in this solstice, a turning point of the year of rebirth. To be able to be born again, we have to root into the earth, like the trees, finding our roots and what nurtures us from deep down in the earth.
So the theme for the sweatlodge and the ceremony
will be Rooting into the Earth and Rebirth, connected to your own healing intention
