Mariana Root is a singer and songwriter that carries the song of her Portuguese roots, weaving with new inspirations of native cultures of the world. Her last album “Lusitana” is honoring the Lusitanian land, Portugal, sounding the Adufe, traditional square drum, and the spirit of the ancient melodies that the singer brings. Coming together with her sister Ana Root, dancer and musician, they offer together with an intimate space of acoustic music rich in poetry, depth, and healing sounds.
