Uk Singer – Songwriter and troubadour Carrie Tree travels to Portugal, bringing a special heart-warming acoustic concert –
at the wonderful Temple Of The Earth sanctuary.

✫ This event is to honour and celebrate the preciousness of all life!

✫ Joining as a guest musician will be an incredible local musician and songstress Ana Root, offerings songs to open the space and collaborating on percussion.

Carrie sings with an openness and honesty, touching a deep place inside the hearts of listeners.
Her passion is bringing people together through music and story.
She will invite us to connect our voices in some songs, as well as offering the chance to relax, receive, and to journey deeper into self-reflection.

Carrie has spent many years exploring different lands and cultures, and shares her inspiration through story and song.
Creating a deeply intimate setting, with a powerful capacity for storytelling, Carrie weaves her soulful voice around guitar and percussion, often touching on poignant subject’s and melting borders.
This artist has been a known name in Europe’s acoustic music scene for many years and has toured in countless retreats, festivals and concerts across the world.

She has collaborated live and in the studio with Damien Rice, Carly Simon, Fink, Albert Mazibuko (Ladysmith Black Mambazo), Rumer, Aukai, Mirabai Ceiba, Murray Kyle, Martha Tilston, Andy Barlow of Lamb, as well as countless other beautiful musicians.
Carrie has self-released 3 studio albums, 2 EP’s and a latest single Sweet Earth.
Alongside her music, Carrie sees the need and power of therapeutic work to bring us back into balance with the earth, and has studied in Family Constellations, Holistic Voice Therapy, Zen Coaching, NonViolent Communication, Nature Connection and supports groups in Shamanic ceremony and ritual.
Carrie is committed to the path of healing and connecting music to projects with the intention to bring ourselves and the environment into harmonic symbiosis.

More about Ana Root
Ana Root, is the voice of the musical project Yemadas, a world music band with 5 albums released. It was during this project that she developed her passion for music, having a natural gift for playing different instruments such as the ukulele, space drums and multi-percussions. She lived and worked artistically in several countries, until she took root in the south of Portugal, where she currently lives in a community. With her partner Tiago Rouxinol, she develops circles of world chants and body percussion, with the aim of integrating rhythm into the body as an instrument, in groups of people.
Percussionist, voice and dancing body, from the album Lusitana by Mariana Root, her sister, a musical project dedicated to Portuguese roots.
